Every year on the 3rd Saturday in September, World Cleanup Day takes place, the world's largest bottom-up citizen movement to clean up pollution and plastic waste. Every year, millions of participants in 180 countries clean up streets, parks, beaches, forests, rivers, riverbanks and the oceans of carelessly disposed litter and plastic waste.
